THE UNLIMITED BOUNDS OF HATRED

1 John 4:8 “He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.”

Hatred has no limits - it spreads, consumes, and destroys. It divides families, communities, and nations, leaving devastation in its wake. It is a disease of the soul, blinding hearts to the truth and keeping people from experiencing the fullness of God’s love.

But God, in His infinite mercy, has given us the antidote: love. His love is not conditional or fleeting; it is boundless, steadfast, and redemptive. When we accept Christ, His love transforms us, breaking the chains of hatred and filling us with His peace.

Jesus Himself commanded us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). Why? Because love overcomes evil. Love is the very essence of God, and those who belong to Him must reflect His nature.

If hatred knows no bounds, then neither does God’s love. And His love is stronger. Let us, therefore, reject hatred in all its forms and allow the love of Christ to reign in our hearts. For in love, we truly come to know God - and in knowing Him, we find eternal life.

PRAYER 

Lord, fill my heart with Your love. Remove any trace of hatred, bitterness, or unforgiveness. Help me to love as You love, so that others may see You in me, in the name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
