About

Our Church

Grace Redemption Community Church is the product of one chapter ending and another beginning. After leaving the pastorate of another congregation, Pastor Lucy-Gulley prayed and was led by God to organize those members who wanted to remain under her leadership into a new Non-Denominational Congregation known as Grace Redemption Community Church (aka GRACE). GRACE was quickly organized with the assistance of her husband, Min. Renaurd Gulley who served as Vice President. The initial gathering place for the small congregants was at Christians United located at 2576 Pleasant Valley Road, Mobile, AL 36606. Service commenced each Sunday at 7:45 a.m. After three months, in January of 2016, Grace moved closer to the Toulminville area using Pastor James Williams office building located at 2101 Saint Stephens Road, Prichard, AL 36610. Early morning service was held there from January of 2016 until December of 2016. Pastor Gulley renovated her former Daycare ("DLD" Academy) to use as a worship center for Grace. The building needed a vast amount of repair work. As such the initial efforts were slow. Not wanting to burden the small congregation with the cost of repair, Pastor Gulley took on this assignment. In June, 2016 after the death of her adopted Grandmother, Johnnie C. Williams (Angel) she was able to complete much of the renovation work which had commenced. Several members assisted in giving of their time and talents (Minister Renaurd Gulley, Dea. Bennie Lucy, Kevin & Hildretta Rowe, Thaddeus Reid, Angela Nicholson and Chiquita Powell). Their hand-on labor helped to keep the work moving. On January 1, 2017, the coldest day of the year, we walked into the renovated building and had our 1st service. On March 7, 2017, the building was officially dedicated, and GRACE RCC was set aside and hollowed unto the Lord. The building no longer serves as a DayCare but as Hospice Care for lost and wayward souls.

We pray that as you learn about who we are, that you will be encouraged to pray for us, tell your friends and family, and consider joining us. Our church has open arms to all who are weary, needing rest and desirous of a fresh Word.

Our Mission is to teach one to reach one. We preach and teach the Word of God to equip the saints to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We have a strong sense of community with our membership. Members are taught the role of the church in our community, the city, and the world as a whole. We invite you to attend our Sunday engagements as we celebrate God in songs, hymns, and prayer through praise and worship lifting our thoughts from the trials and tribulations of life to wonder at the eternal goodness and mercy of our loving God. Join us as we gain wisdom by delving into the Word of God to gain a greater understanding and enhance our relationship with Him.
